CURRICULA WRITING

The Chicago Architecture Foundation has published two architecture curricular resources I've authored and launched one digital learning platform.

I am the primary author of "Schoolyards to Skylines: Teaching with Chicago's Amazing Architecture", (2002) a K-8 teacher resource book that uses local architecture as a tool for teaching the 5 core academic subjects.

Along with my stellar project-coordinator colleague Krisann Rehbein , I authored "The Architecture Handbook: A Student Guide to Understanding Buildings", (2007). The text (student and teacher edition) is the first high school architectural textbook in the nation. It uses the core academic subjects to introduce teens to architectural design and drawing.

Along with my CAF colleagues, I created DiscoverDesign.org, a digital learning platform that connects teens, teachers, and designers who volunteer as online mentors.
